I’ve been thinking about this a lot:
AI has created a weird problem inside companies.
There are suddenly way more things you can build than things you should spend money building.
Agents. Copilots. Automations. Internal tools. Vendor pilots.
And here’s the annoying part:
A lot of them will technically work.
That does not mean they deserve funding.
Your budget is still finite.
Engineering time is finite.
Management attention is very finite.
So I think “Can AI do this?” is becoming one of the least interesting questions in the room.
Of course it probably can.
The better question is:
Should we spend money doing it?
That’s a very different skill.
Because a project can work perfectly and still be a bad investment.
Maybe nobody knows what the workflow costs today.
Maybe the data is garbage.
Maybe the integration eats the entire ROI.
Maybe the use case happens 40 times a year and everyone is acting like it happens 40,000 times.
Maybe nobody actually owns the outcome.
Maybe you’re about to spend $300K to solve a $50K problem.
I see versions of this constantly.
And this is why I think the valuable person inside a company is going to be less and less the person who knows the most AI tools.
It’s going to be the person who can sit in a room with Finance, IT, Operations and leadership and say:
Fund this.
Pilot this.
Kill this.
And have the numbers to defend it.
So I’m teaching exactly that.
On September 29, I’m doing a free live session:
Decide Which AI Projects to Fund, Pilot, or Kill.
45 minutes.
No AI trends.
No “here are 17 agents you should know.”
We’re going to look at the signals we use to separate a promising AI opportunity from an expensive distraction.
What actually makes an AI business case credible.
And how evidence changes the decision from:
FUND → PILOT → KILL
I’m also going to pressure-test real AI opportunities live.
So if there’s an AI project floating around your company and you’re not sure whether it’s actually worth the money, bring it.
Those are the good ones.
And then there’s the harder part.
Seeing a good decision is one thing.
Being the person responsible for making it is another.
That’s why I built the AI Decision Architect Certification.
Six live sessions.
You bring one real workflow from your company.
And we train you through the full decision:
What does this cost today?
What is the actual economic upside?
Is the data ready?
Can this realistically be implemented?
What should AI do?
What should stay deterministic?
Where does a human still need to own the decision?
What can go wrong?
And when someone in Finance asks you where your numbers came from, can you answer without sweating?
Basically:
how not to fuck up an AI investment.
And how to become the person at work people trust when the AI decision actually matters.
The free session teaches you how to see the decision.
The certification trains you to make it.
If you’re registered for the September 29 session, there’s $500 off the October cohort through September 30.
Code: decide
Free session: Sep 29
Certification: Oct 14–Nov 18
